TELECOM CENTER BUILDINGAomi Area
The Aomi area where the Telecom Center Building is situated is served by Tokyo Teleport Station on the Tokyo Waterfront Area Rapid Transit Rinkai Line, making it only a 23-minute train ride from Shinjuku. Both the area around the station and the area around the Central Plaza of Symbol Promenade Park play home to an increasing number of extensive commercial facilities and combined commercial/business complexes as the Aomi district aims to establish itself as a center for MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferencing and exhibitions). In addition, in the area around Telecom Center Station on the Yurikamome Line, that puts Shimbashi only an 18-minute train ride away, one can find research institutes such as the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, which facilitates the commercialization of innovative technological solutions, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Technology Research Institute, which supports smaller enterprises with their product development. The whole area is an up-and-coming business district that exists as a calm oasis in the middle of the city.
